Every Altio release is security-tested before it ships

An automated audit checks our own code, the third-party code we rely on, the running application, our cloud configuration and our AI features. This is what that process does, in plain terms.

How a release gets checked

From raw signals to a confirmed list

The audit casts a wide net, then narrows. Many raw signals become a small set of genuine issues, each explained, double-checked and fixed only with a person's approval.

Wide net double-checked sorted explained confirmed

01

Scan widely

Automated tools and expert review look at every part of the system at once.

02

Verify

A second, independent review double-checks each raw signal on its own merits.

03

Group

Checked signals are sorted, by fixed rules, into a short list of distinct issues.

04

Explain

Each issue is written up in clear terms: what it is and why it matters.

05

Fix and confirm

Approved fixes are built, re-tested and only then allowed to ship.

What we check

Every layer, not just the code

Security is only as strong as its weakest layer, so the audit covers all of them.

Our code

The software we write, read for insecure patterns and logic flaws.

Our dependencies

The third-party code we rely on, checked against known vulnerabilities.

The running app

Live behavior: logins, sessions, access controls and data handling.

Our cloud setup

How our cloud accounts and services are configured and exposed.

Our AI features

The product's AI, tested for manipulation and accidental data leakage.

Against standards

All of it measured against frameworks the security industry recognizes.

Checked twice

Nothing is flagged on a single opinion

One system finds an issue. A second, independent one has to agree. A person decides what to act on.

We deliberately separate the roles. The reviewer that finds and explains an issue is never the one that judges whether it is real, and no change is ever made to our systems automatically. People stay in control of every decision that matters.

The yardsticks auditors and customers recognize

Every issue is classified against established industry frameworks, so our results line up with what an outside reviewer would expect.

Why you can rely on it

How we know it works

The natural question about any security process is how you know it actually works. These are the reasons ours is dependable.

  • Independent verification. A second, separate reviewer re-checks every issue the first one raises, so nothing rests on a single judgment.
  • Re-tested before release. Every fix has to pass the full test suite and pass the original check again before it is allowed to ship.
  • Nothing touches production untested. Fixes are built in isolation and reviewed by a person before they reach our live systems.
  • Fully documented. Every run leaves a complete, repeatable record of what was checked, found and fixed.

Recently improved Shipped October 2026

The system keeps getting better

Three upgrades shipped in October 2026. They make the audit more thorough and its record-keeping more automatic.

01

Double-check even earlier

The independent second review now runs earlier, so every finding is confirmed on its own merits before issues are grouped and summarized.

02

Findings flow into our records

Results now write themselves into our documentation, so the record stays complete and current.

03

A fuller picture for grouped issues

When many small findings share one root cause, each one is now recorded alongside the summary, for clearer traceability.

ContinuousRepeatableDocumented

Our systems are audited this way on an ongoing basis, the same way every time, with a full record kept.

This describes our security assurance process as of October 2026. For how we built it, read Building a system that audits itself, safely.
